Hey, everyone, it's Angel with Assistant Angel and also the owner of the Virtual Assistant Training Network. We've had some folks send us questions of challenges that they're facing in their virtual assistant business. We often get asked how to find a way that they can connect with their clients. This is something that our Assistant Angel team is amazing at doing. One of the goals we have early on in the relationship with our clients is that we become their raving fan. What that means is that we are their support behind the scenes and online. There are a few ways that you can become a client's raving fan. This is going to help your relationship and is actually going to help your work as a virtual assistant.
Understand and know the company's vision and mission.
This is really important because as virtual assistants, we're behind the scenes; nobody can find us. One of the things that are really important, is that you want to be able to have a way to support that message 100%. It's really important that you do this in a way that engages with them and most importantly, their audience. A lot of times what we find is that if you understand the vision and mission, you have a much easier time and a better chance of communicating that message in their social media, marketing, and online presence.
I have a T-shirt on right now of one of our clients, Sammy's Hope. They are an animal rescue and we absolutely love them. They do incredible work in Sayreville, New Jersey. Karen, one of our team members and I work together to communicate their mission. Part of what has helped us spread their message and passion is that we really got to know who they are, how they help people, and what results they can bring to people. That's what I wanted to encourage you, is get to know the vision and the mission of the company because that really is going to help you.
Become your client's advocate.
Take up their cause; their vision and mission. So for example, if you have a client and they are relocating to a different building, you do whatever you can behind the scenes and in front of the scenes to help them. Now, a lot of times we're virtual, but sometimes it's a note of encouragement or letting other business owners know about the move in the area. It may mean going above and beyond. A client is in need and our job there is to help, so become your client's advocate.
Connecting with the client is most important
The reality is, if we work in excellence and we support their vision and mission, they have a confidence and they can go out and spread the message more. Sometimes clients only hire us for one service, and two years later we're serving them at a higher level. We want to be able to serve our clients in excellence by embracing that vision and that mission. If you are their advocate and raving fan, what you see behind the scenes can be demonstrated online.
Being a raving fan is about a relationship.
These are my tips to help you become a better virtual assistant to better support your clients by becoming a raving fan. So, support their mission and vision, be their advocate and work in excellence. Make sure that you have a plan to serve them, build their online presence, and create that passion for their business. It's about being a raving fan, and that goes both ways. I just wanted to encourage you. Remember, clients are coming to you because they need help, and if they can have someone in a support role who's also a raving fan, it is a win-win for both involved.
